Kenneth P. Carman is an AV rated attorney and a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator/Qualified Arbitrator serving on numerous prestigious panels, including NAM and FINRA.  Mr. Carman has practiced in the area of civil litigation since 1978. As house counsel and regional counsel for two major insurance companies, Mr. Carman litigated the companies’ high exposure lawsuits including products liability, premises claims, and automobile negligence claims.  He also has a wide range of experience in interpreting coverage and policy issues.

Upon entering private practice, Mr. Carman continued his representation of insurance companies and their insureds in major defense related litigation with an additional emphasis on local government law including employment and civil rights actions, as well as other constitutional claims in both State and Federal Courts.

Mr. Carman’s practice has now evolved to include all aspects of commercial litigation, toxic tort, environmental law and plaintiff personal injury claims on a select basis. Mr. Carman shares his expertise regularly by giving seminars in governmental law, insurance law and civil litigation practice.  He regularly lectures in the areas of plaintiff personal injury and civil rights/employment discrimination and serves on numerous Florida Bar committees.  He also has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Nova Southeastern School of Law.  Mr. Carman is an active member of the Defense Research Institute, The Florida Defense Lawyers Association and numerous mediation and arbitration associations.
